Becrypt Advanced Port Control
Block devices unauthorised by
administrators with device control to protect sensitive data
Becrypt Advanced Port Control Overview
For peripheral device control at a bus level there is Becrypt
Advanced Port Control, which disables all devices except
built-in boot disks, essential human interface devices and
devices enabled by administrators. With device control,
organisations are able to easily block devices and manage which
devices are permitted to access the network to prevent data leaks and theft by any
device.
The device control software is managed via a simple
configuration tool that allows administrators to create and
maintain separate security policies for protected machines and
each individual user. To prevent policy conflict the user
policy is implemented in preference to the machine policy,
however if no policy exists all devices will be disabled except
those enabled by default.
Devices can be managed by unique ID or by vendor/model
details depending on the level of security required. The port
control solution also logs all connections to the network,
permitted or blocked, for compliance and audit purposes.
