Becrypt PDA Protect Overview
With an increase in remote workers and the use of PDAs, Becrypt
PDA Protect secures data in motion by encrypting the data stored
on removable memory, using strong user authentication and
restricting data transfer. With PDA Protect, which is compatible
with Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0 operating systems,
organisations can impose PDA control to ensure data security.
With strong user authentication the user is required to
authenticate each time the PDA is turned on, if the password is
repeatedly entered incorrectly the PDA will be locked down,
keeping the data secure. However, if this occurs due to user
error, there is an administrator recovery system to gain access
to the PDA and force and password reset.
The data is easily and transparently encrypted on secure removable digital and compact flash memory cards, while permanent
storage can be disabled to prevent the user storing sensitive
data, or configured to be erased in the event of repeated
password failure.
