Outbacker Overview

The Outbacker is an encrypted USB 2.0 portable hard-disk drive using biometric security for user authentication. The internal hard disk is separated into two partitions: the public drive becomes accessible when the unit is plugged into a USB port, the secure partition is only accessible when a user successfully authenticates. The Outbacker has the ability to securely store large amounts of data worry free. For added protection, the Outbacker is designed and built to withstand robust operating and storage conditions. Its light weight and compact size make this unique device easy to carry anywhere.

With its biometric sensor, the Outbacker is a highly secure, USB based, portable storage device. It eliminates retaining lengthy passwords by simply using your fingerprint to access confidential information. Security is further guaranteed as all data written to the secure partition is seamlessly encrypted using an AES based 128 bit key. Even if the device is lost and the hard drive removed, data remains secure as it is encrypted.
