The new Observer Reporting Server provides convenient access to in-depth network analysis, allowing authorised users to examine evidence and make informed decisions to manage critical network operations.

The Observer Reporting Server allows you to accurately assess the impact of mission-critical applications on your business through extensive reports.

For understanding network anomalies, Observer provides analysis on individual links or user activity. Reports synchronize in real time with Observer Suite consoles and Probes, providing a failsafe and fast method of problem resolution.

Observer Reporting Server integrates with GigaStor combining high-level reporting with in-depth forensics in a seamless solution. This allows the engineer, upon discovering a problem presented by the Observer Reporting Server, to drill into GigaStor to review and analyse network traffic transmitted before, during, and after the problem occurred.

The Observer Reporting Server is available as a stand-alone appliance or can be coupled with Observer Suite to simultaneously collect data from numerous Observer Probes, NetFlow devices, and other collection agents throughout the network.

Safeguard data with custom security options
Since the reporting server provides a wealth of intelligence, you may want to limit report access. To protect network data, the reporting server requires secure authentication that is manageable via the reporting server interface. Implement user-based or role-based permissions as necessary to protect your intellectual property.

For example, ensure your manager has the ability to view and even modify reports as needed for planning tasks. But restrict the ability to view underlying data for outside consultants. The Observer Reporting Server can also limit report availability by department or silo. For example, ensure VoIP call quality reports are shared with the communications and IT teams, but limit access to WAN usage reports to only the infrastructure department.

The Observer Reporting Server includes a secure web server that works seamlessly with the Observer product line. Authorised users can access the Reporting Server from any web browser. Deployment options include:
